Shiatsu is a technique which applies digital pressure along the meridians (energy channels) of the body to release blocked energy and improve overall well-being. Shiatsu is Japonese in origin and, like Tui Na (Chinese massage) is based on the principals of Traditional Chinese Medicine.
Shiatsu is highly recommended to strengthen the metabolism and immune system. In addition, shiatsu balances the nervous system and increases vitality.

Shiatsu can be performed on a massage table or on a futon placed on the floor. It is not necessary to undress for the session as shiatsu is normally given to patients wearing comfortable, natural-fiber clothing.
Shiatsu is very beneficial in the treatment of stress, organic and metabolic disfunction, lack of energy, insomnia, headaches/migraines, low back pain, general back pain, sciatica...and it is a fabulous technique for relieving muscle spasms!
